Hi, I’m Varsha. I have completed my undergraduate studies in the field of Nutrition Food Service Management and Dietetics (BSc Nutrition Food Service Management & Dietetics) at SDNB Vaishnav College for women. I have been a Clinical Dietitian and Nutritionist with around 3 years of experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating nutritional problems of the patient and providing them with a consultation about their diet, physical activity and eating habits depending on their health problems. I’m a former employee of MIOT International Hospital Chennai (Multi-Specialty hospital). During this period, I established proper meal plans for patients in accordance with their preference, health and clinical condition.
Consulted with physicians and health care personnel to determine the nutritional needs and diet restrictions of the patient who were pre-op, post-op and during hospital care, and suggested diets to improve their nutritional status. I’ve also worked as a Critical Care Dietitian and provided diet charts for tube feed and FJ feed (enteral feeding) to be prepared and monitored for critical care patients (ICUs). I am passionate about my work because I love what I do, and I have a constant source of motivation and confidence that drives me to do my best. I am in the therapeutic line and I always believe healthy food with regular physical activity and mindful eating reduces the risk of illness and promotes good overall health. Now I’m pursuing an MSC in Food and Nutrition at IGNOU University and practicing as a clinical dietitian at Simplyweight.
