Type of role: Administrative, Medical Secretary, Patient Coordinator

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Dealing with patient phone calls and emails
• Booking and managing appointments in our calendar, liaising with our healthcare professionals and monitoring their communications with patients during their plans or otherwise
• Providing personal support to medical staff/Directors
• Facilitating medication orders with our partner pharmacies
• Typing and sending clinic letters/medical notes
• Handling and logging complaints
• Managing internal company filing
• Managing clinical and non-clinical audits, data logging such as keeping a track of patient outcomes over a certain time period e.g. weight loss amount, improvement in blood sugar levels etc.
• Liaising with third parties or potential partners on any joint projects
• Customer service for our online weight loss app
• Working closely with the UK team when necessary to help guide them and keep up with what’s happening over there.
• Providing administrative assistance with medical research

• Ad hoc tasks (administrative or otherwise). E.g. testing new mobile applications and giving feedback, brainstorming sessions to provide fresh insights in ongoing projects, writing short content pieces/posts for social media, research tasks etc.

Skills we are looking for:

• Microsoft Office: Proficient in Word and Excel (including formulas). PowerPoint and other office tools are valuable.
• Google Suite – experience in using google suite including Gmail, Google Drive, docs, sheets, slides etc. 
• Slack, Skype or other instant messaging tools will be used to communicate with the team.
• Zoom and similar webinar software for arranging video consultations or online events.
• To handle social media content and related tasks.

Qualities we are looking for:

• Exceptional communication skills which do not need to be taught. A natural “people person” who can get along with all types of individuals comfortably. Communication should be strong over the phone, email, and in person. 
• Proactive and caring. We are looking for people who take pride in their work and are willing to go the extra mile to help a patient or a colleague, without being prompted. They should try to solve a patient’s concerns even when it requires thinking outside the box. 
• Well organised so that managing diaries and appointments is easy. 
• Able to multitask and prioritise workload without getting easily stressed or overwhelmed.
• Able to independently and be comfortable with working alone as well as in a small team. 
• Able to work remotely while maintaining quality and productivity, in case of emergency or if the role should require it
• Touch typing or fast typing is preferred for writing up clinic letters
• Integrity and honesty are essential. 
• Creatively inclined individuals and/or individuals with any technical/digital experience or knowledge will have a clear advantage, all other things being equal.
• Someone who shares the vision of the company and wants to work in this area of healthcare will be strongly preferred. We are looking for someone to learn and grow with us.
• Willing to learn medical equipment handling.

Qualifications 

• 0-1 year experience. 
• 12th Graduate or Any B.Sc. Degree.

Job Location: The London Obesity and Endocrine Clinic, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. 

Working times: 10AM – 7PM, Monday – Saturday
